Since you sell a lifetime subscription, how will the service be maintained over time?

Things are simple. ProxiedMail doesn’t require much support from my side. It’s brake even from LTD from organic traffic. Every month I have your money to cover the costs.
All things I do now is for future. Amount of support I do is quite low daily and I can even do it from mobile device.
The service is stable, with time I’ve worked on most of the use cases. So, no more waking up during the night. I didn’t had any profit for a 5 years. Everything is reinvested back until it would be #1 solution on the market. If you’re afraid of using ProxiedMail as email — buy custom domain and install it on ProxiedMail. You can always export things and import it somewhere else( but SimpleLogin for 1 month, import proxy emails and it will work).

What is the goal of ProxiedMail ?

Our key goal is separating email addresses from email clients to make you less dependable from vendors such as Gmail, and ProtonMail.
Just imagine that when you're using their email address you're fully locked on their services forever, unlike ProxiedMail because of our commitment and system design.
Our commitment is to be never affiliated with services that allowing to show the emails (email-clients).
ProxiedMail is more reliable way of mailing than any other like a Gmail, Protonmail or Outlook.
We have taken into account the current usages of emails and designed the system in more right way.
The emails nowadays isn't designed to use it as the access key to your important services as it not very yours when we're talking about the traditional email services.
One service that displaying emails and providing the email address is a huge work that absolutely should be divided at least in two parts.
So, we're proving for your only the email address, our functions is basically only help you manage it and just forward the emails.

Who owns ProxiedMail ?

ProxiedMail currently is fully owned by Oleksii Yatsenko, Ukrainian software developer and enterpreneur that currently lives in Porto
Personally I have a history of being blocked without any questions by Facebook. They just blocked my 6 year old account in one moment.
This, and Apple Hide My Email were my inspiration to create ProxiedMail.
Using ProxiedMail for a long time I can't give my real email address anymore as it feels not right anymore.

What exactly is an proxy-email ?

Proxy-email or email alias is similar to forward email address: all emails sent to proxy-email will be forwarded to your inbox.
You can generate unlimited amount of emails at @proxiedmail.com (like helloworld@proxiedmail.com) and all sent emails to the proxy address will be forwarded to your real email like a john@gmai.com.
Additionally, you can turn off forwarding from this proxy-email or change the pair of proxy-email -> real email address.

I can use my plus sign (+) trick to create unlimited email addresses, why do I need ProxiedMail?

Email subaddressing, often referred to as the plus (+) trick, gained popularity through services like Gmail and is supported by certain email providers. It allows you to generate additional email addresses by adding a "+" followed by a unique identifier to your existing email address. For example, if your email is name@tutanota.com, you could create addresses like name+facebook@tutanota.com for Facebook or name+groupon@tutanota.me for Groupon.

While this technique offers convenience, it does have some drawbacks:
Inability to reply from the + address: When using the plus (+) trick, replying to emails will reveal your real email address as the sender, potentially compromising your privacy.

1. Limited support on websites: The plus (+) trick is widely known, and as a result, some websites do not allow sign-ups using email addresses containing the plus sign, restricting its usability.
2. Privacy concerns: The plus (+) trick does not provide comprehensive privacy protection. The additional identifier (+netflix, +olx, etc.) can be easily removed, revealing your actual email address. If any of these sub-addresses are exposed in a data breach, it is likely that your primary email address could also end up in the hands of spammers. Services like "Have I Been Pwned" can help you check if your email has been compromised.
3. Linking of + addresses by advertisers: Advertisers and data collectors can potentially associate the various subaddresses you use with the plus (+) trick, allowing them to create a profile of your browsing history.

What is the difference between ProxiedMail and other email forwarding services?

You can reply to emails from proxy-email. There's no limits on the number of replies.
No ads.
No trackers.
We're focused on separating email addresses from email clients.
ProxiedMail is committed to be never affiliated or sold to any companies that providing you the mail services like a Google, Tutanota or ProtonMail.
Nowadays email flow is broken, so we're making it right by separating the actual address from presenter.
Additionally, we're taking into account that fact that email address became a security key to all of your digital assets.
So, we're making sure that you will never be blocked or restricted from access to ProxiedMail. That almost impossible to make without making sure you always have a people to talk, so we do have it.

How ProxiedMail is different from temporary email services?

ProxiedMail proxy-email are permanent as opposed to the temporary email addresses created on services like temp-mail.org, 10minutemail.net, etc.
ProxiedMail also doesn't store the emails, they are stored in your mailbox.
ProxiedMail is simply a different product for a different need.

What is ProxiedMail's business model?

Our revenue comes only from subscriptions, that means the product will stay ad-free forever.

I receive an email forwarded to my personal email from proxy-email. How can I reply to that email? Do I need to go to ProxiedMail to initiate the reply?

You can reply directly from your email client. Just click on the "reply" button, the reply will be routed via ProxiedMail and ProxiedMail will make it coming from your alias. Your personal email will stay invisible to the original sender.
Technically, the "From" header in your email is replaced by a special alias dynamically generated for each sender. When you reply, your reply is actually sent to this special alias and ProxiedMail will relay the reply back to the sender, making sure the email is sent from your alias. All information about your personal email address is removed during that process.

Where are ProxiedMail servers located?

We're using Digital Ocean, the Netherlands region

Can I restore deleted proxy-emails ?

Yes, you can just re-create it with the same address. Once you created any proxy-email address it's reserved for you forever.

Can I use proxy-emails for important services like banks, goverment services ?

Yes, we're using it for everything we could since a long time ago.
