To usher in the kick off of the 2024 NFL season today, the **** *** *** * *** officially announced they would rebrand as Silence of the CeeDee Lambs. The name, made public in a press conference on Thursday morning, has also been the ironic inspiration for the franchise to comment on the unjust controversy from the 2022-23 Super Bowl.

"We are grateful to the EFFL for upholding the dignity of the league and confirming that the Silence of the CeeDee Lambs is a two-time Super Bowl Champion. This is not only a win for the team, but for the city, and for the greatest fans in the world," the GM said.

Prior to the 2022 season, Silence of the CeeDee Lambs's best performance was in 2012, finishing fourth. In addition to their struggles to achieve a winning season, the team found themself in the middle of a scandal during the 2018 season, ultimately letting go of their interim GM after reports surfaced of him ignoring domestic violence claims against multiple players.

The rebrand still features Peyton Manning, longtime face of the franchise, but also gives a nod to last season's Super Bowl MVP, CeeDee Lamb. When asked about the new name, Lamb was all business, "I'm just preparing myself for week one. We are ready to go to battle, ready to get this done against the Great White Buffalos."

The fans have embraced the new name, as various memes have begun circulating X, including a prediction that the "Great White Buffalos will be going down like lambs to the slaughter".
